A partnership for mental health

On 8 August 2026, KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER), Belagavi, and Nivaris Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on AI-assisted mental health assessment tools.

The agreement was signed by KAHER Registrar Dr. Vishwanath M. Pattanshetti and Nivaris Director and Chief Medical Advisor Dr. B T Chetan, in the presence of KAHER Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Shrivastava. Representatives from both organisations attended.

Together with USWA

United Social Welfare Association (USWA), Belagavi, is part of the wider collaboration around community mental health. Bringing USWA into this shared story connects our research and technology focus with a community perspective.

Research with community relevance

The planned collaboration covers the design, development, validation, and application of AI-driven voice analytics for mental health assessment across academic, research, community, and public health settings. It also includes mental health initiatives in rural and tribal communities.
